Greetings,
I have noticed an issue that I'm sure has happened before even though I can't seem to find anything about it! I have a few data queries set up, for example, a disk I/O data query (a slightly modified version of the one found on this forum). So what seems to happen is that when a disk is removed each disk at that index and up shifts down. The data source that was at index 10 for example is now index 9 (if disk at index 9 was removed).
Has anyone here encountered this? Is there a way to prevent/work around this? I think the only way would be to add some more intelligence into the disk query script so that even if a device is removed the indexes always stay the same.
Thanks,
Brendon
UPDATE: looks like all I needed to do was change the Re-Index Method to "Index Count Changed" which makes complete sense for this specific data query.
Data query index changes, ruins all data sources
