Graphs - Not Updating After cactiuser UID Change?

Post by ericr »

I've got a faily interesting one. . Running Cacti 0.8.1 (for now).

I just modified the UID of the Cacti user on my Debian system (changed from 70 to 68), and fixed all permissions in the Cacti directory. Now, cmd.php executes with no problems, and all of the RRD files get updated, but in the web interface my graphs appear to have completely stopped updating.
The historic data is all present, but from the time I made the UID change forward, there is no new data in any graph.

I can't find any errors anywhere. I've made sure the cactiuser can read/write to log/ and rra/ . It almost seems as if my cron job stopped working, but I don't get any new data even if I run the poller manually.

Any ideas where I can start looking?

Thanks in advance.

Upon further investigation, it turns out that the poller is not inserting values in to my RRD files anymore. All updates show 'NaN', although when I run the poller, I do see values. .

This has -got- to be related to my UID change, I'm just not sure how.

I'll post further details if I figure anything else out. .

Ok, I've installed 0.8.3a. Now some hosts are updating, some aren't. The poller (I'm using cmd.php) is not polling for all of my defined data sources. The ones it is polling, it is properly inserting in to the RRD files. But for some reason it has stopped attempting to poll my Cisco routers, and another few hosts using a custom host template. The data sources all exist in Cacti, but cmd.php seems to just skip over them.

Any ideas on this one? Anything I can check?

Tnx in advance.
