Graph legends disappear after upgrade to 0.8.7a

Hi,
I upgraded from 0.8.6j to 0.8.7a (Linux plateform).
Since then none of my graphs have any legend or GPRINT whatsoever, but the debug mode says "RDDTool says Ok"

Here is an example (see below)

1) verified the rrdtool font path points to a valid font?
2) correct rrdtool version selected?
3) Happening for all graphs?
4) what php version?
