Boost and Weathermap?

Post by boulan »

I saw that boost and weathermap didn't play nice together. I can accept that... :) Boost makes cacti practical for me:

Code: Select all

Last Run Statistics Time:51.7081 Method:spine Processes:4 Threads:10 Hosts:184 HostsPerProcess:46 DataSources:145890 RRDsProcessed:0
That said, my boss is pretty hot on Weathermap... and I can certainly see why. I had read somewhere that due to some new change, weathermap and boost might possibly be able to shake hands and make nice... is that correct? And if so, what can I do to help?

Weathermap 0.94 should work with Boost. However, I don't use Boost, and the other folks who were asking for this functionality weren't interested in testing it before it's release, so I can't say for sure that it works OK.

It does work OK without Boost using poller_output (which is what the problem really is), because I use that myself. There's no reason for it to be a problem with Boost anymore.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

That's great news. I'll give it a try once I have my cacti setup completed.
