Cacti 0.8.7 - Missing Data Input Method?!!
Hi all,
I've just installed the newly realeased cacti 0.8.7 and I found that the data input method of cacti 0.8.7 is different than 0.8.6x.
See attached screen captured.
And I've try to add the data input method manually but once I click on the save button, the method is not appeared on the web interface.
Can some one tell me what can I do to create the data input method by hand or it's a bug?

This is not a bug. The SNMP, SNMP Query, and the others that are missing were removed intentionally as they are actually "System" methods. They are not gone, just kept out of site to keep you from shooting yourself in the foot.

Hello,
I had a few problems with the upgrade from 086j to 087 with PIA installed before starting the upgrade procedure (something like headers already send at lib/data_query.php....)so I removed all plugins at global.php and restartet the upgrade process. Works fine; ater this reenabling the plugins.
Now the situation is: I do not have any description/font in all rrd graphs. (path to font under settings is ok). -> How to get the fonts back?
And the main problem: The data queries were mixed up: At the "in/out error" I found the predefined names from the interface traffic; at the data source templates I have 3 times the snmp v3 fields (exact the #of tries failed upgrading procs). -> How could I remove this?

If you are using Spine, update to 0.8.7a. See the announcements forum. Then, if the problem still exists, we I will need more details.

Re-upgrading causes problems. You need to isolate the plugin that is problematic. Re-enabling them one at a time will help identify. In this version, you must use global.php and all config_*.php files are obsolete. The only entry in config.php today should be the database permissions.
You will have to edit global.php to specify your web server root as well as the plugins that are to be enabled. So, please perform those steps. In other words, install PIA, disable all plugins. Re-enable one at a time until it breaks.
Once you have identified the broken plugin(s), work with those developers to resolve the issue(s).

Hi,
ups you misunderstood my problem:
After disabling all plugins cacti upgrades fine and works now. Then I enabled all plugins and they are working. (I check every file for the new config->global change....now problems).
Only the 2 problems are still present: no scripture in the rrd graphs and the 3 times ds in the data templates.
