I have the cacti monitoring the ports of the switches, i like to know since I can change the name that appears above(up) in the graph of the png, since gigabitethernet does not put the alone port.

Already because of the question ... in ifName or ifDescr only does it plunder 15 letters from you, since I can extend this number of letters to 20?

Yes, the name lengths are in cacti's settings.

You can edit the graph template(s) to change the titles.
