I have 2 links between a router and a node without and icon that I'm trying to get in parallel. This would essentially be like what is used between the Sync router and Site1 on the example map:
http://www.network-weathermap.com/manua ... xample.png
I've tried numerous combinations of node offsets but almost always end up with a single link angled up and to the right. I haven't yet managed to get both links to show up.
NODE 2821-1.brd
LABEL 2821-1.brd
ICON images/router.png
POSITION 775 250
LABELOFFSET W
NODE AT&T-East
LABEL AT&T Upstream East
POSITION 775 75
LINK 2821-1.brd-AT&T-East
NODES 2821-1.brd:W AT&T-East:SW
BANDWIDTH 1.5M
LINK 2821-1.brd-AT&T-East
NODES 2821-1.brd:E AT&T-East:SE
BANDWIDTH 1.5M
I haven't been able to figure out what I'm missing. All I really need is 2 parallel links between the 2 nodes to finish this map. Any suggestions? I'm editing with the editor and by hand.
Thanks
J

Hmm. Perhaps there should be a warning message for that situation...
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.

Ah ha! That did it. Now I can see two lines. Now my problem is that the lines are going from edge to edge of the icons instead of straight between them like the example I cited. I'm assuming this is because of the E, W, SE, SW options and is expected given that I have an icon for one node and the other is represented by wording in a long box (see image). Is there a way to make it ignore the width of the image and just space the lines 10 pixels apart? It's not a big deal. I've got a functional image now. Thanks for the assistance!

Yes. Instead of using compass-points, you can use pixel offsets: NODES node1:-10:-10 node2:-10:10 so you can fine-tune it. As you say, the compass-point versions work by using the width and height of either the icon or the label (if there's no icon).macdaddy wrote:Ah ha! That did it. Now I can see two lines.
