hmm is this the latest release that's supposed to include other methods of alerting when a threshold is exceeded?
I would have expected some announcement when it was released..?

Not sure what problem you had with Thold 0.3.5.1, but when I installed it everything disappeared from my control panel. I had to revert to the previous version I had installed (0.3.4), which I backed up beforehand of course. I looked, but I don't see anywhere to download previous versions of Thold.

works for me now:

found in apache error_log:
[Mon Jul 30 22:24:09 2007] [error] [client <ip>] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function api_user_realm_auth() in <path>/cacti/plugins/thold/setup.php on line 245, referer: http://<myhost>/cacti/index.php

commented out if statement in line 245 and corresponding "}" in line 247
// if (api_user_realm_auth('graph_thold.php')) {
print ...
// }

and it came up

a hint in thold README about plugin settings is required would be fine

I also had to comment those line 245 thru 247 out to make cacti/thold come up normally. In addition, the "settings" plugin had to be moved in front of thold in config.php file, otherwise I'd be getting :
[client 127.0.0.1] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function: settings_version() in /var/www/html/cacti/plugins/thold/setup.php on line 64

Hopefully thold is working ok now, didn't set anything up yet, so I'm not sure...

I just dloaded thold 0.3.5, and have only 3 files in the /images directory,
tab_hold_down.gif
tab_hold.gif
index.php

My httpd error log fills up with file does not exist lines...thold/images/menu_line.gif
button_go.gif
arrow.gif

I've dloaded the gz and the zip files twice, just to make sure. Needless to say, it isn't working on my system. Too many errors to even try to make work.
I'm not even sure if the thold directory has all required files.
thold_templates.php
thold.sql
thold.php
thold-functions.php
setup.php
readme
listthold.php
license
index.php
graph_thold.php
check-thold.php

This looks like just the ticket I need to get rid of our other monitoring program's!
Thank you..
Roger
