Problems with graphics...

Post by limaunion »

Hi all! Since yesterday some devices are not displaying their graphs. I've enabled in one of them the debug mode and this is the result.
What else can I do? Thanks in advance for your help.
JC.

RRDTool Command:

/usr/bin/rrdtool graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-300 \
--title="XAS3M001 - CPU Utilization - CPU0" \
--rigid \
--base=1000 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--alt-autoscale-max \
--lower-limit=0 \
--vertical-label="percent" \
--slope-mode \
DEF:a="/usr/share/cacti/site/rra/xas3m001_cpu_2039.rrd":cpu:AVERAGE \
AREA:a#FF0000:"CPU Utilization" \
GPRINT:a:LAST:"Current\:%8.0lf" \
GPRINT:a:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.0lf" \
GPRINT:a:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.0lf"

RRDTool Says:

OK

What happens, when clicking on the graph from the Graph Tab? How does the page look like? Please post a screenshot

OK, thanks for your answer.

I'm quite confused about what's going on here. The strange situation is that this problem is happening on ~10 different devices but only for the 'CPU' and 'Used Space' graphics, the other graphics are working perfect.

Here's some additional information, please let me know anything else required.

Thanks for the link.
I still don't know what's going on here...
Here's some more information that could help. We have 150+ hosts and this started to happen last week for some hosts (~10).

07/21/2007 10:50:03 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[3] DS[26] WARNING: Result from CMD not valid. Partial Result:
07/21/2007 10:50:03 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[3] DS[26] CMD: /usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php 172.1.2.111 3 1:161:500:SECRET:::MD5::[None] get usage 0, output: U

from poller-error.log:
sh: /usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_disk.php: Permission denied
sh: /usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php: Permission denied

the file permissions are:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4101 2006-01-04 00:08 ss_host_cpu.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2998 2006-01-04 00:08 ss_host_disk.php

and cacti (poller: cmd.php) is running with user www-data (the files have read permissions in order to execute them, why am i seeing these errors ?).

I've checked the basic data gathering using snmp-walk and no problem was found for one of these hosts:

hrStorageSize.1 = INTEGER: 0
hrStorageSize.2 = INTEGER: 12288959
hrStorageSize.3 = INTEGER: 155486
hrStorageSize.4 = INTEGER: 25436
hrStorageSize.5 = INTEGER: 0
hrStorageSize.6 = INTEGER: 36195
hrStorageUsed.1 = INTEGER: 0
hrStorageUsed.2 = INTEGER: 3966527
hrStorageUsed.3 = INTEGER: 98070
hrStorageUsed.4 = INTEGER: 24789
hrStorageUsed.5 = INTEGER: 0
hrStorageUsed.6 = INTEGER: 14914

Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance,
JC.

Select the host from the device list. Find one of the Data Queries at the bottom of the page. Select "Verbose Query" and post the first 20-30 lines, please

Please run

Code: Select all

/usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php 172.1.2.111 3 1:161:500:SECRET:::MD5::[None] get usage 0
from cli and post results

I run that command and got this output (the file is not executable as previously posted):

$ sudo /usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php 172.1.2.111 3 1:161:500:SECRET:::MD5::[None] get usage 0
Password:
sudo: /usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php: command not found

Then I modified ss_host_cpu.php as executable (don't know if it's valid or not) and the output was:

$ sudo /usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php 172.1.2.111 3 1:161:500:SECRET:::MD5::[None] get usage 0
/usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php: line 1: ?php: No such file or directory
/usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php: line 2: =: command not found
/usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php: line 4: /bin: is a directory
/usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php: line 5: syntax error near unexpected token `E_ERROR'
/usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/ss_host_cpu.php: line 5: `error_reporting(E_ERROR);'

Am I missing something ?
Thanks once again!
