"Disable host" field in polling hosts - what for?

Post by ymilner »

Hello,

What is the meaning for this field? I assumed if I select this, it will inactivate all data sources asociated with this host, but this did not happen? What is it for?

Thanks,

It should prevent the cmd.php from picking it up when it grabs datasources to poll for. I've tried it, and it seemed to work for me.

Yes, you are right

I was mistaken by the fact that the data sources stayed active, but when I grabbed the poller output, I noticed it actually does not use the data sources from the disabled host.

The only thing to wish here is an option to perform disable/enable operation (and possibly others, like copy) on multiple hosts at once; the same way you can do today with data sources and graphs.
