Additional information fields for Devices?

I know there's a patch to add additional fields to users, but is there anything similar for Devices? I want to have notes, and some other database ids (so I can link to other external systems, like our existing syslog and trouble-ticket systems)...

Yes we do, Discovery is a good example. However, if you feel that the fields are universal in nature, articulate your field requirements in the following fasion and post a bug to Mantis:

Field Name, Field Type, Field Width, Default Setting, Indexed (y/n)
