Hi,

I reinstall and all is fine now...

Now I need to add devices, but I get "snmp errors"
snmp read-only is set on my 3560 switch

is this the rigth command? or do I need to config more in my switch like sending traps?

"snmp-server host x.x.x.x community string yyyy"

thanks

note:
im new in cisco product so forgive me...

The fact the installer seemed to crap out for some reason (did you disable the antivirus?), I strongly suggest you read through my installation guide and double-check all the various settings.

Click on graph management, click on a broken graph, enable graph debugging and post the output. Did you wait 10 min for the graphs?

using 1.5 installer, received error msg

Post by kiwi81 »

hi,

I am new to cacti and i have crack my head previously to find all the installer and manually setup the cacti according to the installing guide. Now i am so glad that BSOD2600 has come out with the full installer that i can easily setup the cacti. However, during the setup of the cacti, i received an error msg : "Error openeing file for writting msvcr71.dll " same as the error previously posted by redrobish and the cacti is not functioning. (no page display when browse to http://localhost/cacti). I have follow redrobish advice to reinstall but the same error msg prompt out.

i have disable all the antivirus during the setup. However, my notebook has been infected by Trojan Horses. I am not sure will this be the caused.

I am using windows xp service pack 2. Pls help

Now as I read the error message, it should be safe to ignore. Some users reported their PHP installations were missing msvcr71.dll, so I included it in the installer. Seems you already have it installed.

1) from the command prompt run: php -m and paste the output.
2) follow my installation guide -- it appears you're changing things beyond spec that don't need to be (like that screenshot of IIS).
3) does localhost/cacti/index.php work?

using installer 1.5, no page display

Below is the php -m result:

[PHP Modules]
bcmath
calendar
com_dotnet
ctype
date
dom
filter
ftp
hash
iconv
json
libxml
mysql
odbc
pcre
Reflection
session
SimpleXML
snmp
sockets
SPL
standard
tokenizer
wddx
xml
xmlreader
xmlwriter
zlib

[Zend Modules]

the localhost/cacti/index.php return empty page.

I am not sure is it the php problem as my MRTG hosted in IIS is working fine.

Go through my installation guide and follow the steps for configuring IIS, I think php didn't get set up.
