Thold doesn't finish in time

Hi Folks,

Currently using Cacti 0.8.6j with Cactid 0.8.6i, plugin architect 1.1 with thold 0.3.2, I've downloaded the latest files from the svn repository which apparantly fixed a performance issue but so far this hasn't helped me out.

Currently have 3,830 thold alerts setup for 65 hosts and about 7500+ data sources being graphed. Cactid finishes in less than 30 seconds without thold enabled.

Any ideas on how to improve performance? Were running this on a Xeon 3Ghz with 4Gb of ram.

Not sure as of this point I don't have a box monitoring that many devices to test against. Wouldn't take long to figure out the issue if I did.
