Datasource aggregation and average calculation

Post by cornut »

Hello,

I use cacti 0.8.6j and aggregate plugin 0.62. It works quite well but I need something to do that i cannot do :)

I have these GPRINT :
Link A IN : Current Average Max
Link B IN : Current Average Max
Link A OUT : Current Average Max
Link B OUT : Current Average Max

I have it on the same graph thanx to agregate plugin and that's cool. But I'd like to add 2 Gprint on my graph which show me :

TOTAL(A+B) LINK IN : Current Average Max
TOTAL(A+B) LINK OUT : Current Average Max

Can someone explain simply how to proceed since I can't use "Total All datasources"..

Thanx by advance for your ideas, and long life to Cacti!! ;)
Bye

I've just received a patch that will add the wanted feature. But I will need some time to check this patch.
In the meantime, you may add a new graph item manually, that includes the following
- All Traffic IN must be grouped together and all Traffic Out as well
- For "Total In", it must refer to a "Traffic In" Data Source (A or B)
- The "Total In" one must follow the Group of "Traffic In" graph items (I'm not sure if this is a must, at least this version works), for "Total Out" the same holds, respectively
- both the new graph items must refer to a CDEF using the special data source "ALL_SIMILAR_DATA_SOURCES_NODUPS". If you're using Bytes to Bits conversion, this CDEF must to the appropriate math as well (cdef=ALL_SIMILAR_DATA_SOURCES_NODUPS, 8, *)

That's it
