Graphs not updating, been working fine for 4 years
Hi Guys
I hope you can help.
Since 02:25am On Tuesday the 8th of May my graphs have stopped updating. This is the second time this has happened.
The first time this happened was just after I upgraded to cacti-0.8.6j. The fix for this was simple, Flush the poller cache.
This time however flushing the cache does not help.
Specs
cacti-0.8.6j
Cactid
Debian Sarge
PHP4
Mysql 4
No errors appear in the logs, the permissions are also correct in the rra and other folders. Even when I run the poller as root nothing is updated.
I've been running Cacti on this server for about 4 years now, each update has gone smoothly. Version j has been running since the release.
The ntp server also stopped around this time, however the machine still had the correct time and ntp has since been restarted.
I hope you can help.

Run the poller in debug from the command line. See if you get anymore information.

In the web interface Settings -> General -> Poller Logging Level
Then run the poller manually as the user that runs the poller.

Sorry I thought you meant there was a way to add the debug flag on the poller manually.
Anyway I've been running with Debug and there are no errors at all.
Output below
Control:~/cacti$ php poller.php
05/08/2007 02:37:59 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: /usr/local/bin/cactid, ARGS: 0 133]
Waiting on 1/1 pollers.
Usage: ping [-LRUbdfnqrvVaA] [-c count] [-i interval] [-w deadline]
[-p pattern] [-s packetsize] [-t ttl] [-I interface or address]
[-M mtu discovery hint] [-S sndbuf]
[ -T timestamp option ] [ -Q tos ] [hop1 ...] destination
I have patched vJ with all latest patches.
Log file attached (IP's and hostnames changed)

Fixed
I've fixed it
I reverted to a backup of version h (web files and DB). This worked as normal. The next step was to upgrade back up to version j.
So far its working a treat. and I've only lost 20 hours of data.
