SNMP Queries: strange problem under Win2003

Post by FASSIA »

Hi people, I have two Cacti servers.

One is running under Windows 2003 and the another one is running under Linux. The linux server has not any problem with almost nothing. The only issue is that I have little knowledge about Linux.

But the Win2003 Cacti server make a little problem when I try to do some queries in some MikroTik host. But the querie works well because it works with some other similar host. So is not a querie problem nor MikroTik host problem.

Sometimes, I click "verbose querie" and it works, but sometimes is not work, the screen remain white, and I have to reload the page.

Do you know something about this issue?

Well, I hope you could help me.
Regards.

Maybe try increasing the devices timeout.

I try that, but I still have problems.

It's a beat strange this issue. But it only happend with one host. I will try about twenty more host, and if the problem appear again, I'll post back with more data.

Thanks!

If other device types on the same LAN respond fine always, I'd come to the conclusion that its a problem with the device and SNMP.
