Acknowledging THold Breaches

Post by apperrault »

Hi All,
I am using cacti in conjunction with nagios in our environment. One of the features that i really like about nagios is the ability to acknowledge the alert, to tell the system, that i understand that a THold has been breached, and i am looking into it and trying to locate a fix.

Is this possible or should i just rely on Nagios for my thresholds, and leave Cacti to doing what it does best?

Thanks much

I don't think I will put in the ability exactly as described. What I will be doing instead is a way to put a device into maintance mode, so that it will not alert in thold or monitor, and can also be scheduled a long with being able to turn it on immediately.
