I downloaded and deployed the Aggregate template for 4 data sources and it appears to have worked correctly. So I took the template, copied it, and modified the new template to accomodate 8 data sources. I also had a previous configuration that was manually setup to graph 7 individual interfaces and was done without using a template (very time consuming).
Basically what I did was go into the template that was copied and added 4 additional graph template items and 4 additional graph item inputs. I also created a CDEF to add the 8 items.
Of the 8 interfaces that are being graphed 4 are expected to exhibit higher bandwidth utilization (load-balancing redirects) but this doesn't appear to be what's showing up in the graph . The original graph with 7 servers (in the same order as the other graph) more correctly reflects what the interfaces are reporting (see attached jpeg). The picture shows the original graph (ignore the inbound traffic piece) on top and the new template-created graph on the bottom. Both poll the same interfaces.
Did I do something evil by manually modifying the original template? I've attached the template as well in case anyone wants to take a peek at it.
Thanks!
