general plugin problems

Post by viper799 »

i have uploaded some plugins some I can tell form screen shots that there should be tabs on the top of my page but

I am only getting tabs or see the functions for these plugins:

monitor
thold

These plugin I do not have a tab for them or I can not find where to access them from.

discover
weathermap

is there any reason these plugins would not show up i added them to the config.php file just like the others but no luck I even tried renaming the folder for discover to discover1 and making the changes to the config file but no luck. Is there something I have to do to activate the plugins?

You've follow the instructions of the respective README's? Usually, there is a sql import; but for latest plugins, this is often done by the code. Any errors in httpd's error log? Or in cacti.log?

For weathermap at least, you won't see any tab until you have given your user permission to View Weathermaps and Manage Weathermaps in the User Management page. This is all in the wonderful manual, of course ;-)
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)
