Don't get me wrong - I love anti-aliased graphs. They sure are pretty. And it makes my graphs look so much cleaner in most cases.
The trouble with the last paragraph was how I mentioned the word "most". This implies that there are cases where anti-aliasing is not desired. A classic case is for colour-coded percentages. The problem with anti-aliasing in this context is detailed in the post mentioned above.
We can already set various arguments to the "rrdtool graph" command on a per template or per graph basis (e.g, --alt-autoscale-max or --alt-autoscale, --logarithmic, etc). Can we also have the option to disable --slope-mode on a per graph and per template basis?
