Fresh install does not work

Post by cheksr »

Hi,

I have installed a fresh instance of 0.8.6j as per the official documention on RHEL4. When I run http://<machine>/cacti/ , I get a blank page. Not even login screen. Nothing even in log/ or rra/ directory.

When I try to run "poller.php" manually, I get following message:

#/usr/bin/php /var/www/html/cacti/poller.php
Content-type: text/html
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.3.9
#
Any suggestions ?

PHP and Apache were installed along with RHEL4 setup. I created a test.php and placed it in /var/www/html/cacti/ folder. When ran http://<machine>/cacti/test.php it returned result as desired, means php - apache association is working.

Infact my issue is exactly same as other issue posted on this forum -http://forums.cacti.net/about20059.html

thanks.

Bingo.

My cacti installation is working. I added php4-mysql and php4-gd and I got the login screen.

Thanks to ref: http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=19213

I'm back on rails....
