snmp timeout [solved]

Post by hurra »

Hey.

All graphs of one machine look like this:
Image

All the other devices look normal.

When i try to do a snmpwalk on commandline, i sometime get a timeout.
I already increased the timeout-time to 5 seconds.

Code: Select all

snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 2c defiant system
Timeout: No Response from defiant
What could be the problem?

Thanks for your help

I suppose a network problem. 5 sec timeout is insane. Is it a satellite link?

Hi

Thanks for your answer.

This is a wired connection. Pings are all ok.

I just discovered, if the firewall is stopped on the target pc, everything is ok.
I opend UDP port 161. Isn't that enough?

Thanks

Just an inquiry, are you using cactid or cmd.php?
