Greetings cacti community,
I recently installed cacti on a debian box and i must say im super impressed so far.
I am currently polling various cisco devices. I do have a question though.
I want to be able to poll a router and receive traffic statistics on an IP that is going through the router - meaning I simply want to be able to poll traffic from the router filtered on an IP that belongs to specific customers.
Is something like this possible ?
Thanks in advance,
Mario A. Spinthiras

Re: Traffic on an IP going through a router
This is what Netflow is for. Netflow allows the Cisco device to use it's route cache to track individual flows through the router. It's not available on all Ciscos though, and there is some performance hit for using it.smario wrote:Greetings cacti community,

http://forums.cacti.net/about12393.html is a thread about Cacti & Netflow.
http://cactiusers.org/ has the Flowviewer plugin for Cacti.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)
