Script or Template for Nexsan SAN Hardware

Hi all,
I am trying to get information from my Nexsan SataBlade and SataBoy SAN equipment. The devices are SNMP aware, and I have enabled them with the proper community string etc, I have also downloaded the MIB that they provide, but I don't know what my next steps are.

The units have the ability to send me a weekly update with the system status, such as temperature etc, so I assume that i can Poll this information via SNMP, i just don't know how to do it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It appears that the Nexsan hardware only sends SNMP traps when certain events happen (like warnings) , and cannot be polled for data.

A 'snmpwalk' times out because nothing's listening.

A representative from Nexsan told to us that they do not and will not support snmp.
They do however have a XML-API which provides all information we need.

You can find some template to have cpu, memory, array load, fiber, iscsi traffic for Nexsan Satabeast, E60 or E18 ... etc based on perl script and nexsan xml at this address :
