I get this error when browsing to my http://server/cacti
Cannot connect to MySQL server on 'localhost'. Please make sure you have specified a valid MySQL database name in 'include/config.php'.
I'm not sure this command in the instructions took because of the message it sends after it. Is it because the version of MySQL that I am using takes different commands?

Re: Cannot connect to MySQL server - include/config.php (sol
Check that your disks have not run out of space (df -H), that the process is running (ps -uaxw | grep mysql) and try telneting to the port (usually 3306) to see if it is accepting connections.
In my case I had run out of disk space, corrected it, rebooted and everything was OK.
