That sockets message comes from PHP. In your php.ini uncomment the next line:

#extension=php_sockets.dll

This will fix the sockets problem...

The other warnings:
The scripts deliver an other output or an invalid output than the data source expects to get, (I believe that's it). If you run the script manualy... Do you get any results?

hi,

i uncomment the line but there are no changes until now. status is still unknown.

i think the scripts are ok. i use them only for my localhost which is up and create graphs. but no rrd files for cisco switches :(

Set logging to DEBUG and run the following from the command line:

php <path_cacti>/cmd.php

Post the STDOUT from the command. Oh, and with cmd.php, you must first create a graph to get the status to change from "unknown" to something else.

Everything looks good there. You should be Ok unless you have a permissions problem. See Gandalf's NaN debugging link.

try to check php for supporting socket, in shell root@shell> php -m
[PHP Modules]
libxml
mcrypt
mysql
sockets
...
...
etc

If, no socket available, maybe u can recompile php with --enable-sockets
restarting apache, and please check cacti again.

so far, i have same problem, and resolved by that step.
