Map Size question

Post by TELCO »

Dear All ,

I need to know the values that the format of the screen accepts (Map size) I verified that 1024 xs 768 do not accept all the values for example. When I put to him that value does not load the map to me from Cacti. The default map size is 800 x 600 pixels. I need to enlarge the size of the map with the real values.

Thanks in advance. :P
Best Regards.

I think it can be whatever size you like. For example, I have a map that is 952x1202 and it seems to generate just fine. But if you're having problems getting the editor to save your map size you may need to edit your configuration file for that weathermap manually.

In your PHP.INI file make sure you have the Script Memory Limit set to something more than 8M if you're having issues with larger maps. 32M seems to be a good setting, but if you're using really complex maps, you may need to set it higher.

There are no restrictions on the map size EXCEPT that you might need to change the memory_limit in your php.ini file to allow enough memory for larger maps. There are people using maps of 3000x2000 pixels successfully, with larger memory_limit values.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)
