Graphs display performance

Post by Sam10 »

Hi,

I find that the speed to display graphs on a web client is very slow. For example, in a tree view, I have a directory with 80 graphs. When I want see these graphs, my browser web (IE or Firefox) takes between 52 and 65 secondes to display all graphs. I have trying to improve the performance of my Apache server and my mysql database, but the result is the same.

Can I do something to improve the speed to display these graphs?

Thank you for your help

My configuration:
Apache 2, Php 5, Mysql 5, Cacti 0.8.6i and rrdtool 1.0.49
on Sun Fire T2000 (solaris 10)

Since each graph is being generated on the fly, you are not going to get much better performance than that. I would recommend two other options:

1 - break up the graph display into separate trees
2 - configure and enable graph exporting (Settings/Graph Export)
