poller.php stucks

Post by majortom »

Operating System: Windows 2003 Server (standard)
Webserver: IIS6
Cacti: 0.8.6i
Cactid: 0.6.8.i
MySQL: 5.0
PHP: 5.0
RRDTool (CYGWIN version): 1.2.15
Net-SNMP: 5.4.0.1
Cygwin (cygwin1.dll version): (used packaged Version with cactid)

Like Subject says: scheduled poller.php stucks, also no graph is generated for this script, values outputted by the script are fine, WMI is working with no errors.

Everything else work fine.

It sucks because....?

Anyways, since you're attempting to use WMI scripts, it will authenticate with whatever username/password you've set up to run the scheduled task.

That's the big question. It doesn't output any text while running. I downgraded PHP from 5.2 to 5.1.6 (there is a thread here which says that there are bugs with 0.8.6i and php 5.2).

I ran the script manually on several hosts without any problem. It returned the correct values (I ran the lit_w32_mem.pl).

Thats what I've noticed:

- poller.php is startet every 5 Minutes, like the manual says.
- poller.php stops/stuck working without any output to the cmd32 console window
- poller.php doesn't return any values to the rrdbase.
- poller.php seems to continue and seems to return correct values when running cmd.php while poller.php is scheduled and running.

Strange behaviour :-?
