Cacti 0.8.6i on FC4. I have a Dell 24 port switch I monitor in Cacti. I setup the switch so that each port is labeled by what server it's connected to. This shows up like this when I do a verbose query:
+ Found item [ifAlias='Proxy'] index: 1 [from value]
When I create graphs for the device, and look at them, the title of each port shows up the same:
"Dell-3324 - Traffic - ethernetCsmacd"
So I hand edited the data source names to reflect the ifAlias:
"Dell-3324 - Traffic - Proxy"
Well, the graphs still show "ethernetCsmacd" instead of the ifAlias. Is there a way to edit how the graphs display each port, as how the verbose query shows them?

Forgive me for my ignorance.gandalf wrote:This was already asked loads of time, and, even it was answered ...
Pleae visit the Data Query, select the Graph Template and upper the wanted title in the "Suggested Names" Section. It's a "first match all variables" algorithm

This is what I tried:
Data Queries > SNMP Interface Statistics > In/Out Bits with Total Bandwidth > Suggested Value > Graph Template >
tried putting the three that were there at the top.
Each time nothing changed.
I even created one:
"|host_description| - Traffic - |query_ifAlias|"
and put it at the top with the same results.
