Export of Graphs Taking Too Long

Guys,

I have a fairly large cacti implemenation running and I export the graphs every hour so that I can run some scripts against the exported graphs and generate a customer view of them. However, my problem is that the graph export is taking way over an hour to complete ! Is this normal, the cacti server is running ok and the application seems to be handling the load ok, but I am exporting 20k png's which is now taking over 1.5 hrs.

Any suggestions on this would be great. It may be that this is something I have to live with.
