Hey everyone. I've read the thread of aggregate sum graphing and still seem to be getting totals that are a little off. they especially seem to be off in the MAX fields. Has anyone figured this out? You can see how MAX for the two data sources should add up to 16.85, but it's showing 16.66.
Graph totals are still not correct

No, you're wrong. Both maxima exist at different timestampsincrediblekicks wrote:You can see how MAX for the two data sources should add up to 16.85, but it's showing 16.66.

Not wanting to insult, but this IS a true total. Taken at each and every new timestamp. It totals both Input and Output traffic.
Or are you asking for a SUM of Input traffic, calculated for the timespan displayed in the graph?
Or are you asking for a SUM of MAXima of each data source?
This, and more, is possible using rrdtool. Please ask your question as detailed as possible, and we'll have a try

Graph totals
I just want to be able the sum of the CURRENT, AVG and MAXes to correctly equal what is listed at the bottom. If you add them up by hand, they don't match. Obviously there is something I'm not understanding here, heh.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Ok, this is _not_ possible. It is only possible for CURRENT data, as these are taken at the same timestamp. You may even add AVERAGE, MAX and MIN at each timestamp. Perhaps, reading http://www.vandenbogaerdt.nl/rrdtool/ will help. He's the most accomplished CDEF guy apart from Tobi Oetiker himself, AFAIK.
