SNMP - Interface Statistics (Data Query) Disapears

Post by jmirgot »

Hello everybody,

I have a great problem with the SNMP - Interface Statistics Data Query.

I wanted to import a graph template (circ_util.xml). cf: http://forums.cacti.net/about8520.html

But once I did it, the SNMP - Interface Statistics Data Query disapears.
I can still see it in the sql database but not in cacti Data Queries.

The consequences are that I can not see interfaces for Cisco Routers devices because Cisco Routers Template uses SNMP - Interface Statistics Data Query. It means I cannot create graphs for interface (Fast Ethernet, Serial, ...).

I do not understand why this Data Query gone. :-?

So, I removed in the database (table : snmp_query) the entry "SNMP - Interface Statistics".

Then, I tried to re-imported the SNMP - Interface Statistics Data Query from an other new installation of Cacti. But it doesn't work.
So I recreate the SNMP - Interface Statistics Data Query manually. I can now see it Cacti.

After that, I re-affect it to Cisco Router Host template, with the hope it will works.

But now there are a lot of problems and strange things in cacti.
I can now add graphs for a device but these graphs have no data!

It seems that all the problems can be explained as kinds of "references lost" in the database or something like that.

I am working on how to restore a mysql database with bin files...

Has anyone an idea of why Graphs cannot get data?
Or how I could recreate the good reference in the database, how could I fix these problems ?

Thanks!

I am running Cacti 8.6.h under Debian 3.1

I ran into similar issue when I imported foundry SI template(http://forums.cacti.net/about7533.html), since then I am unable to graph interface stats for anything new that I add. Even after I removed foundry SI template from cacti, I am still unable to create graph for interface static on any new device.

However, there is no issue with creating interface stats graphs for devices which were already in the database before I imported the foundry SI template.

Any ideas?
