cactid configure

Post by bmanocc »

I am trying to install the cactid product via the binaries. I have the tar.gz file and I've followed the installation instructions:

tar xvzf <cactid gzip file>
cd /usr/cactid
./configure
make

etc....

Running the ./configure command I get the following error:

checking for mysql_init in -lmysqlclient... no
configure: error: MySQL libraries not found.

Any ideas how I can correct this and begin using cactid instead of php.

Thanks

Hi

you certainly miss the mysql-devel package.

What OS are you running ?

Seems like a RedHat Enterprise.

Install the mysql-devel package and you will be able to compile cactid.

From a RedHat CD, from RedHat Network, from a mirror, etc.

Thanks. I downloaded the mysql-dev package for my release of red hat and the configure for cactid worked fine.
