scripts for monitoring Nortel MLT's and TDI's ?

Post by mikefrank1098 »

Hi all,

I made a query script for Nortel MLT monitoring. Would be nice if somebody could test and tell me the results.
From my point if view it works.

regards

Mike

Hi mikefrank1098,

I implemented the query and I got an empty (=0) results. By checking SNMP with a snmpwalk I found out, that I doesn't have the OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.12.6.1.1.6 or .1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.12.6.1.1.10.

Greetings
Moe

I tested this with passport 8610 SW 3.7, Baystack 450 4.2 and Baystack 470 3.0 The rapidCity tree (.1.3.6.1.4.1.2272) is old implemented.
Could you walk the tree back with snmpwalk to see from which OID you receive data. I assume that the standard RFC tree is working.

Yes the tree is implemented but the named OIDs are missing and there're no 64bit counters.

I have tested this with a 5510, 4524gt, 2550t and it works. my 8610 wont poll the MLT's though, I can find in the OID the broadcast and multicast packets, but it isnt passing the OID through snmp with the unicast packets.... passport 8610 with code level 4.1.1.1... anyone have it work with an 8610? maybe I need to purchase the upgrade to the code?
