Gaps in Cacti Graphs

Post by accesss801 »

Hello all,

I have gaps in all of my graphs and I am not sure why.

Is this a known issue?

Thanks

What types of graphs?
Look in the cacti log file -- did cacti consider the device going down?
What os / versions of everything?

Hmm, the only log file that has any information is my poller cache. Is there some thing I need to do to enable the cacti log?

It is on FC4, and the version is 8.6h

In cacti's settings, change the logging level to medium and have a look in the file after a polling cycle.

The log is still blank and does not display anything.

Make sure the path to the log valid is valid. Also make sure cacti has the proper rights to write to it.

Are you using the cmd.php or cactid poller?

The user running the poller from crontab must have write access to both ./rra and ./log (see Installation Instructions)
