HI, i have now the same problem.

i tried the normal install with apt-get on my debian. but i am using the new vhcs version ispcp..

so i saw this post and downloaded the tar. i uploaded cacti into my ispcp control main folder gui and now when i try to access the folder i get this message:

Code: Select all

Warning: is_file() [function.is-file]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/cacti/index.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/ispcp/gui/:/etc/ispcp/:/var/run/ispcp.lock:/proc/:/bin/df:/bin/mount:/var/log/rkhunter.log:/var/log/chkrootkit.log:/usr/share/php/) in /var/www/ispcp/gui/cacti/include/global.php on line 111

what can i do? what is the way to install it with a system like vhcs?

please help

thank you

I agree with the reply posted above, try installing with the tarball.
I had problems like this as well in the beginning.

Just as an FYI, if you already have other stuff running PHP just fine now, you can most likely get away with skipping the "Configure PHP" section of the manual.

I had followed it verbatim and it crashed all my other PHP stuff, gallery2, eGroupware, and phpBB2 forum, as soon as i reset all my configs back to what they were before, and ignored that section, everything flew perfectly.
