Cacti Migration, rrd files not updated.

Post by Tybio »

This is the output from my poller.php.
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.4.3RC2-dev
Content-type: text/html

07/05/2006 06:35:52 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: /usr/local/bin/php, ARGS: -q /home/cacti/cacti/cmd.php 0 21]
07/05/2006 06:35:53 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: /usr/local/bin/php, ARGS: -q /home/cacti/cacti/cmd.php 22 42]
07/05/2006 06:35:54 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: /usr/local/bin/php, ARGS: -q /home/cacti/cacti/cmd.php 43 63]
07/05/2006 06:35:55 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: /usr/local/bin/php, ARGS: -q /home/cacti/cacti/cmd.php 64 91]
Waiting on 1/4 pollers.
07/05/2006 06:35:57 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:5.0745 Method:cmd.php Processes:4 Threads:N/A Hosts:76 HostsPerProcess:19 DataSources:2818 RRDsProcessed:0
I can snmpwalk the hosts, I have the proper option selected for net-snmp of the correct version. Graphs are refering to the RRD file and creating just fine, any data gathered prior to moving the rrd files to the new server is in the graph.

It's like the RRDfiles are just not getting updated, and I'm not sure why. I've tried clearing the poller cache and that's done nothing. When I add a new graph to a device it creates the RRD file but never updates it.

Any pointers?

Can you confirm that the <cacti path>/rra/ directory is writable by the same user and group that you run the poller.php script as?

It sure is. The odd part is that when I compile cactid it works fine, so I'm just running that way.

Why it does not work with cmd.php I have no idea.

Probably a permission issue. With cmd.php selected, change the logging level to debug and manually run: php polelr.php. Look through the log file, do you see CACT2RRD entries ?
