Gaps in the graph

Post by lex8009 »

Please help. I'm running into the problem where the graphs have gaps. I've set the threads to 6, concurrent poller to 7, script server to 7, but no difference.

cacti 0.8.6h
mysql 4.1.19
php 4.3.6
IIS 5
net-snmp 5.3.0.1

Please provide a screenshot of the problem, a screenshot the the poller settings and the SYSTEM STATS found at cacti.log (grep some of them out).

How is this host attached? A WAN line?

May you please try to increase the SNMP timeout for this host only?

gaps in graph

Post by lex8009 »

Sorry, I was on a business trip. From what I'm seeing is that if I put this into heavy use, i.e. access a lot of the graphs, do date searches, add graph, etc., eventually I will get a php error and that's when the graphing stops. Currently I have about 170 different graphs configured for about 80 devices. I will try it again tomorrow with the loggin on and post it.

One more note, this problem effects all graphs and I did not see multiple instances of rrdtool.exe or cmd.exe.

I was able to recreate the problem on the php error. and subsequently after the error, that's when the graphs stop displaying any info.

Why not try a slightly newer version of php like 4.4.1 or 5.x ?
