"Total" for GAUGE variables + Percentage Threshold

I tried to implement "Total Traffic" for GAUGE variables (count the area using zoom), but the best I could do was to have the (value I want) * 300. (300 = 5 * 60 seconds)

Also, you could incorporate the Cisco Memory and CPU Templates (someone made them, they are on the forum), the Plugin Architecture, and the Threshold Plugin.

The Threshold Plugin should let users specify a script to be run (instead of sending the e-mail), and it should be possible to configure relative thresholds (percentage), for interface traffic, for example.

These would be great add-ons. Is it possible to do this (by some other means) in version 0.8.6h?
