Hey! I've seen several different ISPs giving their clients (individual hosts) traffic statistics produced with RRDTool. The traffic stats web page also reported the amount of traffic consumed by the host, inbound and outbound.
My question is this: I have a Windows 2003 machine running NAT (RRAS) and a dozen of clients on the local subnet which all use the 2003 server box for access to the Internet. Is there a way I can graph their traffic usage (traffic passing through the server) with Cacti, and use that information for billing purposes?
Per host stats on machine running Cacti and Win 2003 server

If the information is available natively (like via SNMP or WMI) then yes. Once you figure out how to collect the data, Cacti can graph it.

The question was already asked LOTS of times. Usual answer (apart from BSOD2600's):bobson wrote:... Is there a way I can graph their traffic usage (traffic passing through the server) with Cacti, and use that information for billing purposes?
- use netflow (see topics about that at "Add-Ons" and "Scripts and Templates")
- use ntop (there's a cacti plugin for that)
- use ipfilter (see topics about that at "Add-Ons" and "Scripts and Templates")
