I used the "exoprt" option in settings so that I could have my graphs faster. I set the path as /var/www which is the root document directory for the apache server.
Next thign I see is that all the files and directories in /var/www are gone!!! Cacti created a directory called "Default Tree" and that's the only thing remaining. Cacti itself is gone too!
Please help, urgent, the server had other files too !!
URGENT: export graphs DELETES everything!!!!

You need to disable export and restore you files.
What version of Cacti are you running?
We found this to be a problem and a fix was placed in later versions of Cacti to resolve this.

I'm running cacti-0.8.6h which I downloaded just a month ago. Its the same file as on http://cacti.net/download_cacti.php so it's the latest stable one.
Now, there's no way to disable export because the cacti html pages are gone. Also, recovering files is impossible in ext3 filesystem. Unfortunately /var is not backed up for that system either
Any ideas on how to recover the data?
Rony, how to use the export then? Does it not work in cacti-0.8.6h? Do I need to use the unstable one?
Thanks

IMHO you have to use a subdirectory (/var/www/html/export, for example).ar1 wrote:Rony, how to use the export then? Does it not work in cacti-0.8.6h? Do I need to use the unstable one?
