Can't write to RRDs following template change

Post by mrosberg »

Hi,

I recently made a change to the data template for "Interface - Traffic". I had some devices which were using this template for their data sources. As soon as I modified the template all the RRDs for all the devices which were using it stopped updating. This is understandable. I then changed the data template back to the configuration prior to the modification. The devices using the template still are not updating the RRDs!?

Is there any way to force Cacti back into using the existing RRDs, or do I need to create the data sources from scratch again and loose my data?

Perhaps a Clear Poller Cache would help?

Thanks for the tip Reinhard.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to help my situation. The affected RRDs are still not updating.

Please try Settings->Logging Level set to DEBUG for ONE polling cycle. Check log/cacti.log for errors. Perhaps this helps
