Cisco Content Switch in UKNOWN status no matter what I try.

Post by typhoon43 »

Just when I thought I had it all set up.
MRTG has no problem pulling the graphs for this device.
Using SNMP v1, so I don't think it's the content switch (Cisco CSS1150)

I have set the Host Detection to SNMP-Reliable and ICMP Ping for the other field.

I can ping the device fine, and the Data Queries return tons of SNMP information. I have deleted it and re-added it at least 10 times, and it keeps showing as "unknown" instead of "up". Is there something else I should be looking for?

I really need the interface utilization for this device.

Running 0.8.6h, cmd.php, mysql5.1, IIS 6.0, Win2003 SP1 Server.

THANK YOU GUYS!

Well I found a template, supposedly for 0.8.6h (which is what I run), but I get this:

Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\php42.tmp in D:\Cacti\templates_import.php on line 59

Warning: fread() [function.fread]: Length parameter must be greater than 0 in D:\Cacti\templates_import.php on line 59

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at D:\Cacti\templates_import.php:59) in D:\Cacti\templates_import.php on line 71

Grrrr.............. so close!
any thoughts?

Well I got the CSS template in, but the status STILL shows as unknown.
What am I missing? I can get SNMP query data off it, yet it shows unknown?

*BUMP*

yes, I STILL can't get this template to import. Same errors, and SNMP gets are working just fine on it.

Any ideas gang? We just rolled a new product out and I really want to see the traffic stats.

Please switch to DEBUG mode and have a look at log/cacti.log. See my signature's entry on "NaN Debugging" for more details
