Hi all,
am using Cacti 0.8.6h on RH7.2. Cacti was compiled from the source .tar.gz.
I have been adding devices, data sources etc. and have had no luck with graphs being updated. The graph is created - but seems to have no data on it.
If run poller.php from the command line with just localhost defined all seems fine, graphs are updated etc.
However if I add a device and a data source then poller appears to hang. Running it from the command line gives the following:
[root@netsaint scripts]# php /usr/local/cacti/poller.php
OK u:0.00 s:0.01 r:0.00
OK u:0.00 s:0.01 r:0.00
OK u:0.00 s:0.01 r:0.00
OK u:0.00 s:0.01 r:0.00
OK u:0.00 s:0.01 r:0.00

The command which the data source derives data from is a script which is called with:
perl /usr/local/cacti/scripts/get-w2k-cpu <management_ip>
The poller cache shows:
Data Source: kaleidos-01.content.ifl.net - win2k-cpu
RRD: /usr/local/cacti/rra/kaleidos01_content_ifl_net_win2k_cpu_42.rrd
Action: 1, Script: perl /usr/local/cacti/scripts/get-w2k-cpu kaleidos-01.content.ifl.net
If I run perl /usr/local/cacti/scripts/get-w2k-cpu kaleidos-01.content.ifl.net it returns a value.
Can anyone make any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Ben

Hi there,
thanks for the quick response.
4.1.2
So it's within the bounds of what should work.
I've just created a new cacti install in a new directory, with a new DB and a new user. I thought I fresh start may be good. I am still seeing the same problem. Except this time my rrd's aren't being created at all!
Thanks,
Ben

I upgraded to php 4.4.2 (built from source this morning)
[root@netsaint conf]# php -v
PHP 4.4.2 (cli) (built: Mar 30 2006 09:18:51)
Copyright (c) 1997-2006 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v1.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2004 Zend Technologies
and the whole lot started to work.
Thanks for the help!
Cheers,
Ben
