Graphing Custon OID

Post by rladmin »

Hello All.

Im trying to graphing a custom OID on some device, this what im doing:

First of all im using snmpget to check that the value is fetched right.
then im going to Data Templates ,

I'm giving it a name, some data source name (Box is unchecked) as a
data Input Method
im chosing Get SNMP Data
im writeing some Internal Data Source Name (Box is unchecked), and submit.

Custom Data has arrived, the only fielnd im using is the OID field, im
writeing the OID and subming. Thats all for Data Templates

Now for the Graph Templates

For example, I'm building the same graph as the 'Cisco CPU Usage'
only the Data Source is as the new one that i created at the Data Templaes.

Thanks it.

It's not working, it makes a graph without values :(
Im Using Cacti 0.8.6h under Linux (RedHat)

Please help.

Thank you.

If you want to monitor a single OID, then use the generic OID template. You can make several copies of it (the data template) so you can monitor various OIDs.

If you want to monitor many OIDs at once, then you'll need to use a script. Take a read: http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=11288
