No Graphs

Post by rayster »

I have:

cacti 0.8.6h
rrdtool 1.2.12 (www.cacti.net/downloads/rrdtool)
mysql 5.0.19
php 5.1.2
IIS 6
Windows 2003 SP1

I run php poller.php from cmd line and all is well.
I checked the perms on cacti/rra and cacti/log (iusr and iis_wpg have modify rights)
I have the graph debug mode enabled and when i click on graph management, and then any graph:

After the Graph Template Selection box and the Supplemental Graph Template data Box is shown, I get:

RRDTool Command:

There is no output under the RRDTool Command:

I have checked the cacti.log (with debug enabled) and no errors from the poller or cacti2rrd. All the files in cacti/rra are updated and have data

I have the exact same problem here

Post by yubo6@yahoo.com »

I have
OS: Windows 2003 server
Cacti: 0.8.6h
MySQL: 5.0.19-nt
PHP: 5.1.2

When I manually call php poller.php I get data in rra folder; otherwise I don't get any data in rra folder no matter what template I select.

Also, I scheduled a task which runs every 5 minutes. The problem is the popup window php: C:\windows\System32\svchost.exe will not go away.

I have been struggling with this issue for 3 days now. Could somebody help me. Thanks in a million. :-?

You two have seperate problems, so really should've created seperate threads. Both of you should read http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=11747

rayster: What happens when you manually run rrdtool from the command prompt. Any errors?
Are your rrd files updating every 5 minutes?
What happens when you manually run php poller.php?

yubo6@yahoo.com: You have a permission problem. re-read the installation guide on how to properly set up security. As for the windows popping up, read the FAQ section in my guide.

I have read this and other forum postings, before i submitted my own topic.
My issue seems different than every one else i have seen, since my rrd files are updating and i have no errors in the cacti.log and filemon showed no "denied" access.

Well it looks like you're collecting data and updating the rrd files. When you go to graph management, and click on a single graph, do you see anything? Have to set the rrdtool version in Cacti Settings ?

Have you set the proper permissions, as the install guide instructs, on cmd.exe and rrdtool.exe ?

Perms

Post by rayster »

Both CMD.exe and RRDTOOL.exe have read and execute for IUSR and IIS_WPG users.

When going to graph management, i click a single graph, nothing is displayed. (see pic)

time to fire up filemon and see where you're getting access denied errors when you try to graph something.

Graph - DEBUG mode

Post by rayster »

What would cause the Graph Debug mode to have a NULL RRDTOOL command?

FIXED

Post by rayster »

So, i decided to turn on display_errors in php.ini.
I then saw the output from rrd tool, there was a typo in the lib\graph_variables.php (probably from the patch)
I fixed the typo and all is well!
Thanks

What patch typo? I've applied all patches from 0.8.6h and don't have any problems. How did you apply the patches?
