email alerts

Post by Grep_ler »

Hello all,

Is there a plugin for cacti that monitors bandwidth thresholds and sends email alerts when they are met?

Thanks for your help.

Another question.
My include/config.php doesnt have a place for plugins. Do you know the syntax to add it?

Dan,

You need to install the Plugin Architecture first. This should make the required changes to many files, as well as the 'include/config.php'.

Have a read of this:

http://cactiusers.org/wiki/PluginArchitectureInstall

And you can download it here:

Do you just not see a tab or are there errors?

I know I always forget to go to the user management and give my user rights to see the plugin.

I think I tried that and it worked, but I can't quite remember. I don't see why it shouldn't.

It does work, but you do have to put in an email in the "alert email" setting for thold.

Ya, seems the location of the hook is only used with cmp.php, not with cactid. I working on moving this to the Monitor plugin, so that it doesn't rely on that hook anymore.
