Command line automation

Hi,

Are there plans to have some command line functionality to cacti? I'm referring to adding hosts, etc. from the command line, instead of going through the web GUI. It's my only gripe about cacti... it's one thing I kinda miss about cricket, where you could run a command to configure a host, and you'd see graphs for it in a couple minutes. Sure, it's great to be able to set things like the legend, and I know cacti has templates, but the inability to easily start collecting data for hosts makes it a hassle for large scale, enterprise environments. In other words, the more systems you have, the more a hassle it is to go through the cacti admin interface.
