Installation problem when running cacti.sql

Post by mandalek »

I have MySQL 5.x installed and when I run the cacti.sql script I get the following error:

E:\InetPub\Websites\monitoring\MRTG\Cacti>mysql --user=root --password cacti < c
acti.sql
Enter password: **********
ERROR 1264 (22003) at line 1857: Out of range value adjusted for column 'availab
ility' at row 1

E:\InetPub\Websites\monitoring\MRTG\Cacti>

Any help is appreciated.

Hi:
I had that problem too. Just apply the patch for the cacti.sql file, and then continue with the configuration process ( I had to remove MySQL, delete the folder, apply the patch and re install MySQL).

Right.

That is why the install guide, http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=11747 instructs you to install the patches FIRST, before setting up cacti. There is a patch which does fix the cacti.sql problem.
